1. It will be the responsibility of the participants:

1. 1. Before participating in any exercise program, it is important to consult your doctor. If you experience pain, discomfort, or stabbing in any part of your body before or during the activity, you should seek medical attention immediately and discontinue the activity.
      
      
   2. Follow the instructions of the event's organization staff and health and safety department.
      
      
   3. If you notice other runners with health issues, it's important to provide them with assistance and notify the event's health and safety staff immediately. The race number will contain the contact information for the event's PMU.
2. The registration fee has a defined cost, as announced on social media profiles and the website at the specific sales stage. This fee is non-refundable after payment has been made. Therefore, I declare that I am fully confident in participating in the event before completing the registration process. I understand that I may only transfer my spot if I am unable to attend until February 1, 2026. I must notify this transfer in writing to inscripciones@mediamaratonquindio.com, including my information and that of the person who will receive my spot.
   
   
3. I confirm that I am in optimal physical, mental, and health condition to participate in the event and I understand that I must be fit enough to perform the required physical effort. The organization recommends that all participants undergo a prior medical evaluation. By accepting the terms and conditions on the registration form, I declare that I have no illness, injury, disability, or condition that would prevent me from participating in the event or make it inadvisable to do so.
   
   
4. I am aware of the sporting and medical recommendations that I must follow to properly participate in the event, taking into consideration my physical condition and personal circumstances. Consequently, I release and hold harmless the event organization, from any claim related to illnesses or accidents, both present and future, related to my participation in the aforementioned event, for those that occur to my property or my physical integrity, as well as those that I generate within the event route and areas of the MMQ.
   
   
5. I understand that if I have any of the following conditions on the race date, I will not be able to participate: COVID-19 infection, pregnancy, intoxication, use of psychoactive substances, heart disease, respiratory illness, crutches, casts, muscle injuries, bone-muscle injuries, prosthetics, and any other condition that prevents me from participating. If I participate under these or similar circumstances, I assume full responsibility and release the organizers from any liability. I accept any decision the organizers make regarding my participation in the event and understand that there will be no refund option, as I acknowledge that the money will be used to ensure the proper execution of the event.
   
   
6. As a participant in the event, I voluntarily assume the inherent and associated risks of my participation, including, but not limited to, falls, accidents, illnesses, injuries, or even death, which may be caused by my health status, contact with other participants, dehydration, weather conditions, vehicular traffic, and road conditions, among others. I acknowledge that I am fully aware of these risks and have assessed and accepted them as part of my participation in the event. Therefore, I release the organizers, allies, supporters, or sponsors from any liability. Furthermore, I certify that I am affiliated with the social security health system.
   
   
7. I understand and accept that on race day it is mandatory to wear the race number on the front of the stomach area and that failure to do so means I will be removed from the event.
   
   
8. I release the organizers of the Race, Media Maratón Quindío SAS, as well as the other partners, employees, dependents, clients, allies and/or sponsors of the event, from all liability for any damage or loss of property (including loss and/or theft), personal injuries and/or damages that may arise directly or indirectly from my participation in the sporting event. Additionally, I acknowledge that, by accepting this document, the following consequences arise: 1. I understand that the description of these risks is not complete and that unforeseen or unknown risks may arise, which may generate injuries, illnesses, and even death, for which reason I release from all responsibility and obligation any claim, complaint, report or demand, filed by me or by my heirs, legatees or executors, that are based on injuries, damages, losses or death arising from the performance of the activities derived from the event, having known the risks and having assumed them.
   
   
9. I agree that the race organizers have the authority to cancel or postpone the event in the event of any situation that affects the safety of participants, such as public health issues, riots, or weather events, among others. I acknowledge that the organizers will not be liable for any damage, loss, or injury I may suffer as a result of the cancellation or suspension of the event.
   
   
10. It is my obligation to fully familiarize myself with the route of each race I participate in, and I therefore release the organizers and others involved in the event from any liability if I get lost along the way or take a wrong route. Under these circumstances, I will not be entitled to claim prizes, rankings, or recorded times.
