RACE REGULATIONS
MMQ By Café Quindío 2026
The fourth edition of the MMQ By Café Quindío will take place in the municipality of Armenia, Quindío, on March 22, 2026, at Km 9 on the road to El Eden Airport. This is a street athletics race aimed exclusively at recreational and elite runners who are free to register for the event.
The meeting place for participants is Soledén Park in Comfenalco Quindío for the 21k, 10k and 5k distances. The race starts on the main highway 800 meters in front of the entrance to Soledén Park in the area of the Gran Colombia pedestrian bridge.
I declare freely, spontaneously, and voluntarily that I have decided to participate at my own risk and responsibility in the 2026 Quindío Half Marathon sporting event.
For this reason, and having read this declaration, knowing the risks and considering that I accept them by participating in the event, I, on my own behalf and on behalf of anyone acting on my behalf, am aware that I must comply with the following race rules:
- All event participants must be of legal age on the date of the event to participate in the 10- and 21-kilometer courses. For the 5-kilometer course, children 5 and older are allowed to participate, provided they are accompanied by their parents throughout the event and are under their own responsibility and custody. Parents must also be officially registered for the event and the child's distance.

Once registration has been submitted and paid, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Therefore, we encourage you to read this document carefully and review every aspect of the event before making your registration decision.

The event does not have a disabled category, and registration and participation are not permitted.

All participants must have previously registered, expressly accepted these rules, waived liability, and acknowledged the risk and processing of personal data.
- Participants must respect the route established by the organizers, as well as their departure and arrival points, and must adhere to any posted signs along the route, such as return zones, extreme caution or danger, reduced speed, and other warnings.

Participants are not permitted to use vehicles such as motorcycles, bicycles, or any other vehicle that offers assistance and is not part of the event organizers during the competition.

Receiving assistance to facilitate the completion of the course is not permitted, and this circumstance is grounds for disqualification if one is within the awarding positions.

Running while injured or with a medical condition is prohibited, and it is the individual's responsibility to refrain from participating if their health or life is at risk.

Immoral, aggressive behavior and behavior contrary to good behavior within the competition will be grounds for expulsion and disqualification.

The routes are established by distance as follows, for which each participant declares that they are capable and trained to complete the route they are registered for according to their category:
21 k
- Free (from 18 to 39 years old on the day of the race)
- Master A (40 to 50 years old on the day of the race)
- Master B (51 to 60 years old on the day of the race)
- Master C (from 61 to 75 years old on the day of the race)
10 K
- Free (from 18 to 39 years old on the day of the race)
- Master A (40 to 50 years old on the day of the race)
- Master B (51 to 60 years old on the day of the race)
- Master C (from 61 to 75 years old on the day of the race)
5K
- Recreational (from 5 to 75 years old on the day of the race)

The awards ceremony will be held under the following parameters:
Race awards will be determined by stopwatch or pistol time; chip time will not be taken into account. Pistol time is the time measured from the start of the race to the finish. Chip time is for informational and/or statistical purposes only.
The first three runners in each category will be awarded prizes according to the following tables:
The awards ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the main stage located inside Soledén Park, kicking off with the 10K distance. The winners will be the top three finishers and those with the three best times in each category, both men and women. This information will be provided to the organizers by the judges of the Quindío Athletics League.
The award for the best Quindío native will be given to the person born and residing in the department of Quindío who records the best time among all Quindío participants in their 10k or 21k distance, respectively. There will be one man and one woman from each distance.
Prizes for all individual and group winners will be delivered via bank transfer no later than 72 business hours after the day of the competition.
Winners must present an original ID, a signed billing statement, and a bank account statement to transfer the prize.
It is important to note that some amounts are subject to tax withholdings, so they will be applied according to Colombian regulations.

You must be in the warm-up area 45 minutes before the start of your distance.
Routes:
21K route
Exit from the main highway 800 meters from the entrance to Soledén Park in Comfenalco Quindío, heading towards the City of Armenia, returning at the Malibú roundabout and taking the north - south direction of the road until reaching the Club Campestre roundabout, from there we turn right towards the Pan-American Highway to the free zone, where we will return to take the Club Campestre again and then head towards the finish line located in Soledén Park.
10K route
Exit from the main highway 800 meters from the entrance to Soledén Park in Comfenalco Quindío, heading towards the City of Armenia, returning at the Montessori roundabout and taking the north - south direction of the road until reaching the Club Campestre roundabout, from there we take a right in the direction of the Pan-American Highway to the Bonanza sector, where we will return to take the Club Campestre again and then head towards the goal located in Soledén Park.
5K route
Exit 800 meters from the main entrance of Soledén Park in Comfenalco Quindío, heading towards Armenia, we take the lane to the Bundaba furniture area, where we will return to take the left lane north - south heading towards the goal located in Soledén Park
Warm-up area open from 5:00 am (400 meters from the entrance to Soledén Park)
The organization may make changes to the route due to circumstances that require it in order to ensure the smooth running of the event and the safety of participants.
The maximum time to complete the course will be 3 hours for the 21k, 1 hour 50 minutes for the 10k, and 1 hour for the 5k. After this time, participants must allow assistance from service vehicles to clear the lanes or move to the right shoulder of the road and behave as pedestrians.
Note: These times are established taking into account road closure authorizations, which must be fully complied with.

Time limit for the tour: 1 hour 50 minutes.
Meeting place: Soledén Park, Comfenalco, Quindío.
Activation and departure site: 800 meters in front of the entrance to Soledén Park.
Departure time 21k
Official departure time: 6:10 am
Time limit for the tour: 3 hours.
Meeting place: Sol Edén Park, Comfenalco, Quindío.
Activation and departure site: 400 meters in front of the entrance to Soledén Park.
5k Departure Time
Official departure time: 6:20 am
Time limit for the tour: 1 hour.
Meeting place: Soledén Park, Comfenalco, Quindío.
Activation and departure site: 400 meters in front of the entrance to Soledén Park.
If you do not complete the distance within the established time limit, you must move to the right side of the road and behave as a pedestrian.
Departure times may vary due to weather conditions, logistical issues, or decisions by traffic and police authorities.

If the quotas are exhausted before the defined date, the values defined for the next stage will be automatically applied:
Stage 1: From October 4 to November 4, 2025, or until all available spaces for this stage of the sale are exhausted (2,520 spaces).

Registration is subject to availability and compliance with the capacity limits established by the organization.
The organization may or may not grant discounts on registration fees, and this decision will be based solely on commercial and sales strategies.
Group registrations: Groups wishing to register 20 or more runners can request a 10% discount on the registration fee for the full stage. This discount does not apply to previous stages.
The discount request must be submitted by the group leader or delegate to the email address inscripciones@mediamaratonquindio.com, where the request will be processed.
Group registrations can be made until February 2, 2026, if there are available spots on that date.

The official race results will be those reported solely by the judges of the Quindiana Athletics League. This information will be the only valid information for awarding prizes. They will be published four hours after the race on the event website.

Registration fees for individual and/or group entries are nonrefundable after payment has been made. Entries may only be transferred until February 2, 2025, in writing to inscripciones@mediamaratonquindío.com.

Competition numbers and kits must be collected on March 20 and 21, 2026, at the location and time designated by the organizers. This information will be shared on the event's social media channels and via the email address registered at the time of registration in March 2026.

If a registered participant is unable to attend to pick up their kit, they can send a representative with a signed letter of authorization and a photocopy of their ID card.
Registered participants must present their original ID to collect their kit and race number. If they are unable to collect their kit or participate in the race on the specified dates and times, they will not be eligible for a refund for their registration or race kit.

Note : Wearing the race number on race day is mandatory and must be worn in the designated location, as any runner who does not wear their number will be removed from the race course.
